Soccer Recap: Lick-Wilmerding Comes Up Short

Lick-Wilmerding lost against Marin Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lick-Wilmerding Tigers fell just short of the Marin Academy Wildcats by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 466th, while the Wildcats are ranked 38th).

Lick-Wilmerding has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season. As for Marin Academy, they pushed their record up to 14-1-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Lick-Wilmerding does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marin Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Convent of the Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m.
