Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-3 to the Newton Rams. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Savannah Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Sow, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Newton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-5 win against Rockdale County on the 27th. As for Newton, they have also already played their next game, a 13-0 defeat against Archer on the 27th.
