Basketball Recap: Aleah Rockemore Key Part of a Team Effort in Falcons Win

Pottsgrove lost to Upper Merion Area back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Pottsgrove Falcons managed a 53-49 victory over the Upper Merion Area Vikings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pottsgrove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aleah Rockemore, who posted 15 points and four steals. That's the most steals Rockemore has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Ivory, who had six points and 13 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Upper Merion Area still got an impressive performance from Kennedy Coles, who earned 31 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Coles is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Pottsgrove is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Upper Merion Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Pottsgrove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-25 defeat against Downingtown West on the 24th. As for Upper Merion Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-24 win against Upper Perkiomen on the 28th.
