Soccer Recap: Carlsbad Plays to a Tie

On Monday, neither the Carlsbad Lancers nor the Temecula Valley Golden Bears could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Charlotte Cliff was the only thing that stood between Carlsbad and a shutout considering she scored both of Carlsbad's goals, bringing her season total up to four goals.

With that draw, Carlsbad's record moves to 4-3-2. As for Temecula Valley, they moved theirs to 1-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlsbad won't get a chance for a more definitive result for a while: they'll take on Mission Hills at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Temecula Valley will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against San Marcos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. San Marcos' last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
