Basketball Recap: Pacifica Takes a Loss

Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rio Mesa Spartans. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tritons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-45 back in January.

Rio Mesa was led to victory by Natalie Quinto and Sophia Hill. Quinto went 8 of 15 en route to 17 points in addition to six assists and five boards, while Hill went 6 for 10 on her way to 19 points. That's the most assists Quinto has posted since back in November of 2024. Sofia Mora was another key player, putting up four points and six rebounds.

Pacifica's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Rio Mesa, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-18.

As of now, neither Pacifica nor Rio Mesa have any future games scheduled.
