Football Game Preview: Longview Lobos vs. Rowlett Eagles

Two dominant signal callers in JOHNNY HAMILTON and Samuel Loera are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Longview Lobos will head out to face off against the Rowlett Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Longview took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Royse City, posting a 52-24 win. Considering the Lobos have won four matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in HAMILTON and Jamion Richardson. HAMILTON had a great game and threw for 228 yards and five TDs. Meanwhile, Richardson was balling out in the loss, throwing for 269 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 37 yards.

Meanwhile, Rowlett hadn't done well against Sachse recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 42-33. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Rowlett's win came from a few key players Longview will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kelin Cottrell, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of scores. Bresean Clewis was in the mix too, providing Rowlett with two TDs.
