Football Recap: Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Takes a Loss

If Springside Chestnut Hill Academy was feeling good fresh off their 42-0 takedown of Central last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils fell 21-12 to the Roman Catholic Cahillite on Friday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Blue Devils couldn't quite close it out.

Roman Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tre Montgomery out in front who rushed for 76 yards and one TD.

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Roman Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy will head out to challenge Abraham Lincoln at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roman Catholic, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against DeMatha at 7:00 p.m.
