Baseball Recap: Claxton Comes Up Short

Claxton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against Metter, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Metter this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Tuesday.

Claxton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Metter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Claxton will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Metter, they will head out to face off against Emanuel County Institute at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
