Carrollton came out on top against Lexington on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Trojans never let the Minutemen get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won nine matchups by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Carrollton and bumps their season record up to 11-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Lexington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Carrollton has already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against Holden on the 23rd. Lexington has also already played their next matchup (against Lafayette County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
