Wheeler County extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping them up to 8-3. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Dodge County Indians a 5-0 shutout. Five seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

As for Dodge County, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. Having soared to a lofty 31 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Dodge County's part, Scarlett Parkerson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. Parkerson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Wheeler County will head out on the road to take on Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dodge County, they will be playing at home against Washington County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
