After flying high against Carver on Monday, Lovett came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the Dunwoody Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 13-4. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Riley Gallagher made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Audrey Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Lovett now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Dunwoody, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Lovett didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 loss against Holy Innocents Episcopal on the 15th. As for Dunwoody, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 13-2 victory against Lakeside on the 11th.
