Preview: Central Valley Warriors vs. Blackhawk Cougars
After three games on the road, Central Valley is heading back home. They will take on the Blackhawk Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 461st, while Blackhawk is ranked 62nd).
Central Valley suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 59-31 loss at the hands of Moon Area. Central Valley has struggled against Moon Area recently, as their match on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Blackhawk put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season last Monday. They blew past Beaver, posting a 42-14 win on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Blackhawk who now have seven in a row.
It was another big night for Alena Fusetti, who scored 19 points along with two steals. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Romigh, who scored five points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Central Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Blackhawk, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
