Basketball Recap: Monte Vista's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Monte Vista won the last time they faced Foothill and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Monte Vista Mustangs came out on top against the Foothill Falcons by a score of 59-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Monte Vista got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kennedy Whyte out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Whyte a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Naliyah Sefidi, who posted 19 points along with seven assists and six steals.

Monte Vista was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Monte Vista's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-11. As for Foothill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Monte Vista will challenge Dublin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Foothill, they will take on Livermore at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
