Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Prep Lightning vs. Ray Bearcats

The Lincoln Prep Lightning and the Ray Bearcats will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

While Lincoln Prep didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past St. Michael 54-31 on Friday. The Lightning pushed the score to 47-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Ray posted their biggest victory since November 22, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Tournament Opponent 52-21. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bearcats.

Ray's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Lincoln Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Everything came up roses for Lincoln Prep against Ray in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, as the team secured a 63-31 win. Will Lincoln Prep repeat their success, or does Ray have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
