Basketball Game Preview: Lancaster Catholic Crusaders vs. Lebanon Cedars

The Lancaster Catholic Crusaders will face off against the Lebanon Cedars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lancaster Catholic comes in on 11 and Lebanon on seven.

Lancaster Catholic will head into Saturday's matchup having proved themselves against Bethlehem Catholic: Lancaster Catholic took a 21-point loss the last time they faced off against Bethlehem Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Lancaster Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Bethlehem Catholic on Saturday, sneaking past 40-37. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Hawks are ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lebanon made easy work of Cedar Crest on Friday and carried off a 68-44 victory. The Cedars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Lebanon is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Lancaster Catholic, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Lancaster Catholic strolled past Lebanon in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 62-48. Will Lancaster Catholic repeat their success, or does Lebanon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
