Basketball Recap: San Pasqual Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact San Pasqual can now relate to. They took a blow against the Santana Sultans on Saturday, falling 41-12. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Sultans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ella Hill was San Pasqual's leading scorer, having posted four points. Hill also led the team in rebounds with 16.

Harper Diaz was nothing short of spectacular for Santana: she dropped a double-double with 20 points and 19 rebounds. That's the most points Diaz has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaliyah Cruz, who scored six points in addition to five boards and three steals.

San Pasqual's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Santana, they pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

San Pasqual does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santana, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-19 win against O'Farrell Charter on the 25th.
