Soccer Game Preview: Stebbins vs. Troy

Stebbins is 0-10 against Troy since August of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Stebbins turned things around against Shawnee on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over the Braves. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Stebbins' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Troy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past Springfield 6-2 on Tuesday. Troy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by four goals or more this season.

They hit Springfield with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kevin Hipolito (2), Joshua Murphy (2), Matthew Barth, and Carson Furrow.

Stebbins' victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Troy, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-1.

Stebbins might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Troy in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
