Jordan has gone a perfect 10-0 against Spencer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Jordan Red Jackets will look to defend their home field against the Spencer Greenwave at 5:30 p.m. Jordan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
Jordan took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Shaw, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Jordan came out on top in a nail-biter against Shaw on Tuesday, sneaking past 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Jackets.

Kade Evans and Bradley Smith were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Evans pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Smith struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Evans has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Evans went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs, while Smith went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Evans has become a key player for Jordan: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brody Catlin, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.
Jordan lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Spencer lost 16-3 to Hardaway on Tuesday. The Greenwave have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.
Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Jordan, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
Spencer's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Jordan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Spencer, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Jordan keep running through batters, or will Spencer buck the trend?
Jordan took their victory against Spencer when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 13-1. Does Jordan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Spencer turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
