Recap: Eagle Rock Eagles vs. Franklin Panthers
The Eagle Rock Eagles entered their tilt with the Franklin Panthers with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Eagle Rock had just enough and edged Franklin out 43-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eagle Rock also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Eagle Rock's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nylah Moore, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Romero, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Franklin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ariana Pinedo, who scored 13 points. Pinedo is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Toni Vizcaino was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Eagle Rock's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Franklin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.
Eagle Rock will be playing at home against Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Marshall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 788th, while Eagle Rock is ranked 238th). As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to face off against Bravo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
