Waxahachie had won two straight games and Michael Gatewood did his part to make it three on Friday. The Indians came out on top against the Pinkston Vikings by a score of 68-60 thanks in part to Gatewood, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 36 points and seven boards. Waxahachie is undefeated when Gatewood posts 25 or more points, but 2-3 otherwise.

Waxahachie's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Pinkston, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Waxahachie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-58 loss against Midlothian on the 6th. As for Pinkston, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rockwall-Heath at 5:30 p.m. on the 19th.
