Navasota dropped down to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell 47-38 to the Stafford Spartans. If the Rattlers were looking for revenge after losing 28-7 to the Spartans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Stafford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.5 points over those games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stafford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiden Seales, who picked up 174 receiving yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 86 yards on only 11 carries. Seales is becoming a predictor of the Spartans' success: when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Robert Endlsey Jr. also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards.
