Arcata is 8-2 against McKinleyville since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Tigers will host the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Arcata is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.

Arcata is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: Fortuna, who was ranked third at the time (Arcata was ranked 12th). The Tigers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Huskies on Saturday. The result kept Arcata happy, as they haven't lost a game since August 29th.

Lars Gerdes and Cruz Aguilar scored all three of Arcata's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, McKinleyville made sure to put some goals up on the board against South Fork on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-2 margin over the Cubs. The result was nothing new for McKinleyville, who have now won four matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Arcata is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matchups. As for McKinleyville, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-7.
