Football Recap: Springbrook Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Springbrook extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They had to suffer through a 61-7 loss at the hands of the Blake Bengals. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, the Blue Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Springbrook still got an impressive performance from Aidyn Thomasson, who picked up 103 receiving yards and one score. Thomasson is crushing it when it comes to receiving yards: he's posted at least 103 every time he's taken the field this season.

As for Blake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 39.0 points this season.

Dereion Wilkinson had an outrageously good game as he picked up 34 receiving yards and three TDs. Junior Rodriguez was another key player, rushing for 57 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.

Looking ahead, Springbrook will host Kennedy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blake, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sherwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bengals will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
