Soccer Game Preview: Half Moon Bay vs. Capuchino

Half Moon Bay is 1-8-1 against Capuchino since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Half Moon Bay Cougars will host the Capuchino Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Half Moon Bay's offense. They came up short against Carlmont on Thursday, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 811th, while the Scots are ranked 233rd).

Meanwhile, Capuchino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to Terra Nova.

This is the second loss in a row for Half Moon Bay and nudges their season record down to 3-9-3. As for Capuchino, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12-2.

Half Moon Bay took their win against Capuchino when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 3-0. Does Half Moon Bay have another victory up their sleeve, or will Capuchino turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
