Football Recap: Hanover Comes Up Short

Hanover extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-6. They came up short against the Biglerville Canners, falling 31-6. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, the Nighthawks couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Biglerville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Considering they have won three contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Aidan Hoffman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 199 yards and two TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024. Gavin Althoff was another key rusher, rushing for 72 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Coming up, Hanover will take on Bermudian Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Nighthawks will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Biglerville, they will be playing at home against Littlestown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
