Basketball Recap: Livermore Cowboys vs. West Wolfpack
Livermore lost against West back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Livermore Cowboys were dealt a 61-34 loss at the hands of the West Wolfpack.

When it comes to explaining why Livermore lost, don't look at Angie Bhatia. Despite the final result, she posted 19 points. That's the most points Bhatia has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Mahmood, who put up eight points.
Kaliyah Byrd continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for West, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds. With that strong performance, Byrd is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Karla Leon was another key player, putting up nine rebounds and three steals.
Livermore's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for West, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-12.
Livermore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-47 victory against Arroyo on the 6th. As for West, they will face off against Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
