Chino had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Ontario Jaguars as they made off with a 58-38 win. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Jaguars are ranked 436th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chino's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Natalia Becerra led the charge by putting up 17 points along with five boards and three steals. Becerra continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tess Oldenburg, who posted 11 points in addition to seven steals and three blocks.

Chino smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Chino's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points per game. As for Ontario, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Chino nor Ontario have any future games scheduled.
