Pierce County has gone 9-1 against Appling County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pierce County Bears will challenge the Appling County Pirates at 7:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Appling County won against Savannah Arts Academy on Friday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. Appling County narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Southeast Bulloch 2-1. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Appling County has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those nine games. Pierce County's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.
