Softball Recap: Perry Sets Scoring Season-High Against Eufaula

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perry). They put the hurt on the Eufaula Ironheads with a sharp 10-2 win on Saturday. Considering the Maroons have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Perry has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Eufaula, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Perry will be playing at home against Chisholm at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eufaula, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Okemah at 4:30 p.m. on September 15.
