Basketball Recap: Purdue Polytechnic's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Purdue Polytechnic entered their tilt with Indianapolis Northwest W on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 50-45 W against the Warriors.

Purdue Polytechnic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelia Story, who posted 17 points. Story's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Te'Asia Briscoe, who scored 13 points.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Esther Moore, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine assists. Moore is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Maiella Kaufman was another key player, shooting 55% from the field en route to 13 points and six boards.

Purdue Polytechnic's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Indianapolis Northwest W, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-3.

Coming up, Purdue Polytechnic will be playing at home against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Indianapolis Northwest W, they will square off against Fort Wayne GUARD HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
