Nemaha Central extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Carter Hajek. The Thunder breezed past the Silver Lake Eagles to the tune of 42-7 on Friday with plenty of help from Hajek, who rushed for 265 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last 11 times he's played.
Nemaha Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Layton Thomas and Kamden Schmitz.
Nemaha Central's record is now 2-0. As for Silver Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
