Basketball Recap: Dublin Continues Road Dominance on Friday

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Dublin ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Dougherty Valley Wildcats by a score of 65-56. Given the Gaels' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Wildcats are ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dublin pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for Dougherty Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dublin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kimball at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dougherty Valley, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Mt. Eden at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
