Football Recap: West Elk Comes Up Short

West Elk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 68-18 defeat at the hands of the Northeast Vikings. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Although West Elk took the loss, they still got scores from Brycen Hobbs, Jared Tucker, and Brock Baumgartel.

West Elk's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, West Elk will square off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
