Recap: San Luis Obispo Tigers vs. Santa Maria Saints
The San Luis Obispo Tigers were the 51-29 winner over the Santa Maria Saints when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. San Luis Obispo fell just short of Santa Maria by a score of 51-49.
Santa Maria had a senior duo take command as Nevaeh Madrigal scored 17 points along with eight steals and Alyssa Reyes scored ten points along with nine steals. Madrigal hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Juarez , who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
San Luis Obispo's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Santa Maria, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Luis Obispo's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Mission College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Santa Maria will take on Paso Robles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
