Baseball Game Preview: Heard County Braves vs. Bremen Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Heard County will face off against Bremen. The Braves will head out on the road to square off against the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Heard County has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight defeats, while Bremen will come in with four straight victories.

Heard County lost 7-1 to Bremen on Tuesday.

For Bremen's part, Landon Hannah looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hannah has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Conner Helton was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Bremen's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Cooper Mincey, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Bremen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Bremen's record is now 12-9. As for Heard County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
