Preview: Orange Glen Patriots vs. High Tech SD Storm
The Orange Glen Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the High Tech SD Storm at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orange Glen is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Orange Glen was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 35-31 to Rock Academy.
High Tech SD has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to La Jolla 41-36. High Tech SD has struggled against La Jolla recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Vivianna Cravens, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma LaSalle, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and eight steals.
Orange Glen has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for High Tech SD, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.
Orange Glen lost to High Tech SD on the road by a decisive 44-28 margin when the teams last played back in November of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of LaSalle, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 steals.
