Football Recap: Kenton Takes a Loss

Kenton managed to slip by Shawnee the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats were dealt a 37-6 loss at the hands of the Indians on Friday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Kenton's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. Those home defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.5 points over those games. As for Shawnee, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kenton will challenge rival Ottawa-Glandorf at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Shawnee is set to face off against their familiar foe Elida at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
