Football Recap: Kenton Comes Up Short

Kenton managed to slip by Shawnee the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats took a blow against the Indians on Friday, falling 37-6. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Kenton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Garry Phipps made ten total tackles (1.5 for loss).

Kenton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Shawnee, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Kenton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 38-27 win against Ottawa-Glandorf on the 5th. As for Shawnee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-7 victory against Elida on the 5th.
