Softball Recap: North Murray Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

North Murray came into Monday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Coahulla Creek Colts 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mountaineers have posted since August 26th.

Chanley Langham spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, North Murray's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Erin Langham, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Kylie Corbin also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

North Murray's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Coahulla Creek, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-15.
