Football Recap: Sibley East Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Sibley East had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 14-0 fall against the Mayer Lutheran Crusaders. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

The critical scores for Mayer Lutheran came from Gabriel Shimanski and Caden Ohlson.

Coming up, Sibley East will challenge Luverne at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Mayer Lutheran, they will take on Martin County West at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
