Baseball Recap: Millington Takes a Loss

Millington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the All Saints Central Cougars. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by just one run.

Millington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Dickie, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Millington's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for All Saints Central, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millington will venture away from home to challenge Vassar at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for All Saints Central, they will head out to take on Peck at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
