Baseball Recap: Whitefield Academy Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against King's Ridge Christian, Whitefield Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Apalachee Wildcats 4-2.

Whitefield Academy has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Apalachee, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.

Looking ahead, Whitefield Academy will face off against King's Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Apalachee, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Jackson County at 5:55 p.m. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
