Softball Recap: Bear Creek Comes Up Short

Bear Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 8-5 to the Ralston Valley Mustangs. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Liliana Medina was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That hit was her first of the season.

Bear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Ralston Valley, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bear Creek is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakewood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ralston Valley will square off against rival Valor Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
