Basketball Recap: West Allegheny Comes Up Short

West Allegheny was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bethel Park Black Hawks. The Indians were probably out for revenge after losing 60-49 to them when the teams met back in February of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sadie Orie continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bethel Park, going 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. Orie's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Sabatos, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

West Allegheny's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Bethel Park, they now also have a winning record of 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Allegheny will take on Montour at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethel Park, they will square off against Thomas Jefferson at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
