Baseball Recap: Albany Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Albany can now relate to. They came up short against the Colonie Central Wolfpack on Friday, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Wolfpack: they've now lost five in a row.

Albany saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew McCarthy, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Albany's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Colonie Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6.

While Albany had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
