Basketball Recap: Wharton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wharton's last matchup with Sickles could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Wednesday. The Wildcats were beaten by the Gryphons 68-41. Wildcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Gryphons since Wednesday.

Jackson Byam was nothing short of spectacular for Sickles: he shot 67% from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points and seven boards. Those 30 points gave Byam a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Thomas, who made all 5 shots he took to post 13 points.

Wharton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sickles, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Wharton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-64 defeat against Freedom on the 21st. As for Sickles, they have also already played their next game, a 63-39 win against Steinbrenner on the 21st.
