Soccer Game Preview: La Sierra vs. Jurupa Valley

The La Sierra Eagles will take on the Jurupa Valley Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

La Sierra is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Ramona on Friday. They fell 3-1 to the Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jurupa Valley). Their defense stepped up to hand Rubidoux an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. The score was close at the half, but the Jaguars pulled away in the second half with seven goals.

Jurupa Valley is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those eight matchups. As for La Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-2.
