Baseball Game Preview: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. Pope Greyhounds

The Sequoyah Chiefs are taking a road trip to take on the Pope Greyhounds at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Sequoyah will head out to face Pope after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Sequoyah lost 11-1 to Pope. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Chiefs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Pope is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. Sequoyah's loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
