Recap: Santa Paula Cardinals vs. Nordhoff Rangers

The Santa Paula Cardinals can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 53-29 margin over Nordhoff. Winning may never get old, but Santa Paula sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Santa Paula's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aryanna Lopez led the charge by scoring 26 points along with two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lopez has scored at least a third of Santa Paula's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyse Ramirez, who scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Santa Paula's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Nordhoff, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Santa Paula will head out on the road to square off against Malibu at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nordhoff, they will be playing at home against Channel Islands at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
