Soccer Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence lost against Aplington-Parkersburg back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs came up short against the Falcons, falling 7-1.

Independence's loss was their 12th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15-1. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2-1 record this season.

Independence will be playing at home against Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they will challenge Webster City at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
